Mission Critical MEP Superintendent

I’m working with a leading mission critical contractor delivering major hyperscale data center projects in Arizona.

They are looking for an experienced MEP Superintendent to take a senior field leadership role across complex, highly technical data center projects.

This is an opportunity for an experienced MEP Superintendent with strong mission critical experience, particularly across the full commissioning lifecycle from L1 through L5 / Integrated Systems Testing.

You’ll provide day-to-day field leadership across MEP construction, coordinating contractors, vendors and project teams to ensure systems are installed, tested and delivered to the required standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead MEP field operations across major hyperscale data center projects
• Manage and coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors
• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning activities
• Coordinate closely with Project Management, Commissioning, QA/QC and Safety teams
• Ensure MEP installations align with drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Drive project schedules and coordinate MEP activities with overall construction sequencing
• Identify and resolve field issues and coordinate technical solutions
• Manage equipment start-up and system testing
• Support commissioning activities from L1 through L5 / IST
• Coordinate with commissioning teams during functional and integrated testing
• Maintain strong relationships with trade partners, vendors and project stakeholders
• Ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards

Candidates should have experience working through the commissioning process, with exposure to:

L2 — Installation verification and readiness

L3 — Equipment functional testing

L4 — System functional performance testing

L5 / IST — Integrated Systems Testing and testing of critical systems under normal and failure conditions

Strong L1–L5 experience within a mission critical or data center environment is highly desirable.

• Data center / mission critical experience
• Previous Superintendent experience on large-scale projects
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• L1–L5 commissioning exposure
• Experience coordinating MEP subcontractors and vendors
• Ability to lead complex field operations
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project schedules
• Strong communication and leadership skills

The position is Arizona-based, but candidates currently located anywhere in the US are encouraged to apply.
