Description:
Start dates are not flexible.
The position covers a 100-mile radius rule.
Typical treatments per day include 5-6 ventilator setups and approximately 35 treatments in a 12-hour shift.
Experience with adults, pediatrics, and neonates is required, especially for NICU trained professionals.
Travelers will attend all deliveries and C-sections if NICU trained.
Responsibilities include working in inpatient and emergency settings.
Onsite support includes an Intensivist available 24/7.
There are Charge RRTs on each shift.
Travelers will not be alone in the main hospital but may be the only RT in the freestanding emergency department.
Required skills include drawing and analyzing ABGs, administering treatments, and adjusting ventilator settings.
Travelers are not required to independently intubate but must be able to assist.
Equipment used includes Vent-Avea, Hamilton C1, Bipap-V60, EV300, HiFlow-Aerovo 2, Zoll vents, and Glidescope.
Shifts may not guarantee a set schedule, but efforts will be made to accommodate preferences.
Every other weekend work is required.
Travelers will be expected to work two of three major holidays.
Travelers may be placed on "low census" standby.
Floating to the freestanding emergency department may be required, with a 15-minute drive.
Dress code includes black scrubs.
The cancellation policy allows for cancellation of hours equivalent to a weekly guaranteed schedule.
The charting system in use is EPIC.
