General Manager
ARK Hospitality is seeking a hands-on, service-driven General Manager to lead operations at Everhome Suites Yuma East I-8, an extended-stay hotel designed to help guests feel at home whether they stay for a week, a month, or longer. Located just minutes from Yuma International Airport and conveniently positioned off I-8, Everhome Suites offers apartment-style accommodations with full kitchens, complimentary WiFi, a fitness center, outdoor pool, meeting space, laundry facilities, and pet-friendly amenities.

Position Summary:
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and success of the hotel. This individual will oversee day-to-day operations, financial management, team development, guest satisfaction, sales initiatives, and brand compliance while ensuring the property meets ARK Hospitality's high standards of service and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a visible and engaged leader who is comfortable working alongside their team, solving problems, supporting guests, and creating a culture of accountability and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hotel Operations & Leadership:
Lead all aspects of hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Guest Services, and overall property performance. Maintain a visible leadership presence throughout the hotel and actively engage with team members and guests. Conduct regular team meetings, daily operational reviews, and shift check-ins to ensure alignment and accountability. Foster a positive, service-focused culture centered on teamwork, communication, and guest satisfaction.
Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop hotel team members. - Financial Management:
Manage hotel budgets, forecasting, labor expenses, and operational costs to achieve financial goals. Monitor occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, labor productivity, and profitability metrics. Review daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and implement strategies to improve performance. Oversee payroll processing, banking procedures, accounts management, and purchasing controls. - Guest
Experience:
Ensure outstanding guest service standards are maintained across all departments. Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and service recovery situations. Monitor guest feedback and online reputation scores, implementing improvements when needed. Create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business and extended-stay guest loyalty. - Property & Facility Management:
Ensure the hotel remains clean, safe, well-maintained, and compliant with brand standards. Partner with maintenance teams and vendors to address preventative and corrective maintenance needs. Monitor safety programs, emergency procedures, and risk management protocols. - Sales & Community Engagement:
Support local sales initiatives and business development efforts that drive occupancy and revenue. Build relationships within the Yuma community, including local businesses, organizations, military-related organizations, healthcare employers, and extended-stay demand generators. Collaborate with revenue management and sales partners to maximize hotel performance.
Requirements:
- Required:
Previous hotel leadership experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager, or Department Head. Strong understanding of hotel operations, guest service, and team leadership. Experience managing budgets, labor costs, and financial performance. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities when needed.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. - Preferred:
