The IT Application and 3rd Party Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation, integration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise applications and third-party systems that support the organization's operational, clinical, and business functions. This role ensures that all applications function effectively, are well-supported, and align with organizational goals, compliance requirements, and IT governance standards.
Responsibilities- Leadership & Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of application analysts, engineers, and system administrators. Oversee day‑to‑day operations, staff performance, and professional development. Manage resource allocation, project assignments, and workload prioritization. - Application & Systems Oversight:
Oversee the lifecycle management of internal and third‑party applications, including implementation, configuration, upgrades, integrations, and decommissioning. Ensure high system availability, performance, and reliability across the application portfolio. - Vendor & Contract Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for third‑party vendors and application partners. Negotiate contracts, renewals, and service‑level agreements (SLAs) and monitor vendor performance. - Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with business, clinical, and administrative leaders to translate system requirements into technical solutions. Partner with Project Management, Security, and Infrastructure teams on cross‑functional initiatives. - Governance, Compliance & Continuous Improvement:
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and other regulatory or security standards. Maintain adherence to IT governance, change management, and incident management processes.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare information technology, computer science, health administration, nursing, or a related field.
- 5 years related experience in healthcare IT, clinical informatics, or application management.
