Summary: The Administrative Director of Data Analytics is responsible for advancing the organization's data strategy, infrastructure, and analytics innovation. This role leads the development of a scalable data platform and data product ecosystem that enables value-based care, risk adjustment, population health management, operational optimization, and clinical decision support. The Director will guide the organization in transforming data into actionable intelligence to improve patient outcomes, enhance efficiency, and support systemwide strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Planning/Vision

    Competency:

    Provides vision, forward thinking and strategic planning in a proactive manner; develops an organized strategy to achieve short and long term objectives; communicates strategy to obtain commitment by responsible individuals.
  • Accountability:
    Leads enterprise data and analytics strategic planning aligned with organizational goals. Develops and communicates a comprehensive roadmap for data platform modernization, advanced analytics, and data product strategy. Evaluates emerging technologies and analytics capabilities that support value-based care, population health, risk adjustment, and clinical/operational decision support. Collaborates with clinical and operational leadership to ensure analytics strategy supports health system priorities.
  • Fiscal Management

    Competency:

    Demonstrates accountability for financial results through budgeting and operational planning; optimizes resource allocation, software investments, and infrastructure costs while ensuring scalability; identifies revenue enhancement opportunities through analytic innovation and data products; manages financial performance against budget expectations.

    Maintains commitment to excellent service to patients, physicians, employees and other customers; ensures analytics solutions provide actionable and user-friendly insights; maintains an inclusive, respectful work environment; promotes strong relationships with patients, providers, and interdisciplinary teams; models clear and responsive communication.

    Plans, organizes, coordinates, prioritizes, and executes initiatives; leads design, architecture, and improvement of the enterprise data platform; establishes performance standards, KPIs, and analytics quality assurance processes; drives continuous improvement through data-driven evaluation of services.

    Integrates analytics solutions into operational and clinical systems to support enterprise strategic objectives; works cross-functionally to ensure analytics are leveraged to improve care delivery; leads change management for data products and decision support tools.

    Leads staffing planning and retention strategies; mentors and coaches; builds a high-performing analytics, data engineering, and data product team; promotes open communication and accountability.

    Leverages hospital and community provider capabilities to increase value for external and internal customers; represents the organization in data and healthcare innovation forums; encourages collaboration to reduce barriers to care.

    Performs additional responsibilities to support the mission, values, and operational needs of the organization.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Services Research, Health Economics, or a related field required.
  • Master's Degree or Advanced degree (PhD) in Health Services Research, Health Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • 7-10 years related experience required.
