140K-165K depending on experience
- 4+ years of practical experience supporting and engineering database environments.
- Experience applying AI tools to technical work; familiarity with infrastructure supporting AI applications, such as vector databases, embeddings, and RAG, is beneficial.
- Strong background with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including performance tuning and database design.
- Understanding of multiple database architectures, including relational, document, key-value, graph, and wide-column models.
- Experience with technologies such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, Cassandra, or Neptune is a plus.
- Exposure to AWS data services, including RDS, Aurora, Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, Kinesis, Elasti Cache, and related tools.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, indexing, partitioning, query performance, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Comfortable using Python, Power Shell, Bash, or similar scripting tools, along with monitoring and observability platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Relevant credentials such as Microsoft SQL Server or AWS database/data certifications are helpful but not required.
- Smaller or SaaS company experience a plus
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Work authorization:
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. either as a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
