Senior Auditor – Enterprise Projects

• Participate as a key team member on audit projects
• Independently own audit tasks, including documenting processes, developing work papers, and executing audit tests
• Assist Senior Managers and Managers throughout the audit lifecycle
• Review prior audit results and business monitoring materials to support audit planning
• Participate in walkthroughs using effective challenge and critical thinking
• Execute process, governance, and oversight testing to evaluate control design and effectiveness
• Identify and elevate issues and draft audit issue documentation
• Develop understanding of American Express' business model, products, services, and organizational units
• Document and evaluate audit observations and findings
• Support client status meetings, audit requests, and administrative tasks
• Validate corrective actions and Management Action Plans
• Communicate task status, roadblocks, challenges, and potential solutions to leadership
• Provide guidance and feedback to staff auditors
• Draft test steps, audit findings, and audit reports with guidance

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3+ years of audit experience
• Prior experience working at a Big Four / G-SIB
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, within the team, and across various teams in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage competing priorities and employ creative thinking
• Ability to break down problems and solve them using data analysis, process, risk control knowledge, and experience
• Knowledge and experience applying control theory and professional auditing practices throughout the audit lifecycle
• Understanding of regulations, regulatory risks, accounting, and financial industry best practices, including technology and data implications
• Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided
• Preferred: experience with data analytic tools, data visualization, KRIs, KPIs, information systems/technology, and scorecards/dashboards
• Preferred: experience auditing large-scale enterprise projects, transformation initiatives, and change management programs
• Preferred: understanding of project and change management governance
• Preferred: familiarity with PMBOK, Agile, SAFe, or similar frameworks
• Preferred: PMP, CAPM, SAFe, or equivalent certification

Demonstrates expertise in audit processes, including documentation, testing, and evaluation of control design and effectiveness. Proficient in data analysis and applying auditing practices while effectively communicating findings and collaborating across teams.
