Job Summary:

Administrative Services Officer 3 “Office Program Manager” FIELD OPERATIONS DIVISION / REGION 4 / YUMA, ARIZONA BASED FLSA-Exempt / GRADE 22 / SALARY RANGE $55,000 - $65,000 Arizona’s vast landscapes, from the Colorado River to the high desert, are a playground for outdoor enthusiasts and a sanctuary for diverse wildlife. At the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD), we are looking for a dynamic Office Program Manager to lead our Yuma team in delivering world‑class service to the hunters, anglers, and conservationists who make our mission possible.

This is more than an office role—it is the heartbeat of our regional operations. You will be the bridge between our agency’s complex regulations and the public we serve, ensuring that our conservation efforts are supported by seamless business operations and exceptional community engagement. Why This Role Matters As the Office Program Manager, you are the face of AZGFD in the Yuma community. Your leadership ensures that our regional office runs like a well‑oiled machine, allowing our biologists and officers to focus on the field while you provide the public with the information, licenses, and education they need to enjoy Arizona’s outdoors responsibly. You’ll play a critical role in Continuity of Operations, standing in for leadership during vital decision‑making moments and ensuring that every dollar of our regional budget is used effectively to support wildlife.

By mentoring staff and coordinating volunteers, you are directly cultivating the next generation of conservation stewards.
What You’ll Do

  • Lead Regional Operations: Serve as the assistant project lead for statewide programs and act as the primary contact for critical operational issues in the Yuma region.
  • Empower a Service Team: Supervise and mentor the front‑counter staff, ensuring they have the training and tools to provide superior education and service to the public.
  • Manage Resources: Oversee regional budgets, reconcile funding sources, and manage Department property and assets to ensure taxpayer dollars are used with integrity.
  • Bridge the Gap: Act as the liaison between the Department and the community, interpreting complex wildlife laws and regulations for the public.
