• Min = $36.30
• Mid = $47.19
• Max = $58.08

The Operating Room (OR) Circulator RN is responsible for delivering and documenting patient care during the intra-operative period. This role involves assessing both the physiological and emotional needs of patients to plan and implement appropriate nursing care. The OR Circulator ensures quality patient care through adherence to perioperative nursing policies, procedures, and standards. As the patient s advocate, the OR Circulator maintains safety and sterile techniques throughout the procedure and demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

• Assesses and addresses the physiological and emotional needs of patients during surgery, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to established protocols.
• Sets up and prepares the operating room by assembling necessary equipment and supplies according to sterile techniques.
• Positions patients based on procedure and surgeon preferences, prepares the operative site, performs a "Surgical Time Out" to confirm the procedure and site, and assists with moving patients to and from the operating table.
• Assists anesthesia personnel with intubation/extubation, monitors fluid volume balance, administers blood and blood products, and supports patient thermo-regulation.
• Conducts and documents surgical counts (sponges, sharps, and instruments) and handles specimens according to proper procedures.
• Cleans and organizes the operating room post-surgery, including the proper disposal of used supplies and sharps.
• Uses supplies efficiently and conservatively to maintain fiscal responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential:

• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
• ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT (ACLS)
• PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT (PALS)
• REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

Essential:

• ASSOCIATE S DEGREE

Education Required:

Associates Degree or higher

Arizona RN License or compact state RN License (for travelers and non AZ Residents); BLS, (AHA), BCLS;
Advanced Life Support Certification(s) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record or similar electronic record systems.
