Overview
RN / LPN / Nurse — Registered Nurse II Outpatient | Cardiology | Days
Responsibilities- Advocacy & Moral Agency:
Represent patient/family and nursing staff concerns; engage in moral decision making; collaborate with the patient’s family; ensure patient rights and holistic care; follow the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Nurses; adapt standards when necessary. - Response to Diversity:
Recognize, appreciate, and incorporate cultural, spiritual, gender, race, ethnicity, and other differences into care; practice within applicable codes of ethics; address ethical issues and access appropriate resources; adapt plan of care to patient and family beliefs. - Clinical Inquiry:
Pursue evidence-based practice; access nursing resources; support unit and organizational quality initiatives; facilitate knowledge sharing of best practices. - Clinical Judgment:
Clinical reasoning and decision making; identify key patient presentation components; integrate advanced technologies; prioritize and adjust plans of care; delegate according to the five rights of delegation; communicate clearly with team; lead in changing or critical situations. - Caring Practice:
Provide compassionate, supportive, and therapeutic care; actively listen to patients and families; involve families in care; address patient beliefs and spiritual needs; promote patient safety goals. - Systems Thinking (Safety / Quality Improvement):
Manage patient safety and risk; use quality improvement data to inform nursing interventions; participate in quality projects; assess factors such as safety, effectiveness, availability, and cost when choosing care options. - Collaboration:
Work with intra- and interdisciplinary teams; initiate plan-of-care discussions; use SBAR for communication; resolve team situations; communicate with peers, physicians, and hospital departments to manage patient care. - Facilitation of Learning:
Support patient/family education and ongoing learning for nursing staff; assess learning needs and develop plans; contribute to teaching materials and educational activities.
- Essential: REGISTERED NURSE (RN)
- Essential: BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
- Education:
ASSOCIATE’S DEGREE - Experience:
REQUIRED 1+ years related experience
- RN License, BLS required
