The RN Flex Team nurse provides high‑quality, flexible nursing care across multiple units or departments within the hospital. The RN Flex Team nurse adapts quickly to different clinical environments and delivers patient‑centered care in accordance with established standards and protocols. The RN Flex Team nurse must demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, adaptability, and a commitment to quality patient care.

• Deliver professional nursing care to patients in multiple units, as assigned.
• Provide personalized, compassionate care that reflects acceptance, empathy, and understanding.
• Actively listen to patients, families, and colleagues, ensuring clarity and mutual understanding.
• Collect and analyze physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual data using evidence‑based tools.
• Validate findings with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Document assessment findings accurately and thoroughly, following established standards.
• Identify expected outcomes based on nursing assessments and diagnoses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to create culturally sensitive care plans.
• Utilize evidence‑based strategies and update plans based on the patient’s evolving condition.
• Deliver timely interventions and treatments aligned with established guidelines and patient preferences.
• Coordinate care delivery across settings and ensure comprehensive documentation.
• Communicate relevant updates during hand‑offs and transitions of care.
• Employ health promotion and teaching strategies to empower patients and families.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment.
• Encourage feedback and evaluate patient understanding through techniques such as teach‑back.
• Monitor and document the patient’s response to interventions and progress toward goals.
• Engage patients and families in evaluating outcomes and adjusting care plans as needed.
• Use reassessment data to revise nursing diagnoses, outcomes, and interventions.
• Uphold ethical standards and advocate for patient rights and safety.
• Maintain therapeutic nurse‑patient relationships and encourage patient self‑advocacy.
• Report unethical or unsafe practices in accordance with policy.
• Apply current research findings to improve patient outcomes and nursing practice.
• Participate in professional development and research activities appropriate to role and education level.
• Share relevant evidence‑based insights with peers and team members and serve as a role model and resource to less experienced staff.

• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
• REGISTERED NURSE (RN)
• Associate’s Degree

• Active RN license in Arizona in good standing.
• BLS credential.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of work‑area specific competencies for RN Flex Team duties.

Hourly base salary range: $39.93 – $63.89 per hour (actual salary may vary based on skills and experience). Additional $5 hourly differential for RN Flex Team nurse hours.
