Licensed Practical Nurse

Provide the highest quality direct care services to veterans. Participate in facility meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Administer medication and perform treatments as ordered by the physician and within the scope of the license. Observe and report the effectiveness of medications and treatments. Ensure an adequate supply of medications and resources are available. Receive and communicate resident medical, social, and functional needs.

Complete the initial admission nursing assessment tool for new residents. Assist in the development of assessments, ongoing reviews, and care plans. Supervise subordinate staff and assist with direct resident care. Conduct and participate in in-service training and staff development programs. Train and orient new employees. Perform technical duties as assigned and respond to emergency situations rapidly and appropriately.
