Min: $39.93, Mid: $51.91, Max: $63.89 per hour.

The Registered Nurse (RN) Inpatient is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care. They support professional nursing practice across settings, lead preceptor and quality improvement efforts, delegate care, communicate effectively, mentor staff, participate on committees, and adhere to scope and standards of practice set by the American Nursing Association and state law.

Seek resources for and practice good self‑care.

Collect and analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis or issues. Assess comprehensive data including physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual needs; interpret assessment information to derive diagnoses or issues; use evidence‑based assessment techniques and instruments; validate diagnosis with patient, family, and team; prioritize data and information based on patient’s immediate condition or anticipated needs; identify potential risks or barriers; document data in compliance with guidelines.

Identify expected outcomes and develop a plan that prescribes strategies addressing health promotion, restoration, maintenance, or health‑related problems, with alternatives to attain expected outcomes. Involve patient, family, and healthcare team in formulating a culturally appropriate individualized plan of care and identify expected outcomes based on nursing assessment and diagnosis. Apply evidence‑based nursing practices in developing the individualized plan of care to attain expected outcomes and continuity of care.

Modify the plan according to the ongoing assessment and reevaluation of the patient’s response, status, and outcome indicators. Document the expected outcomes as measurable goals and the plan using standardized language or recognized terminology.

Implement the identified plan and coordinate care delivery. Implement the plan of care in partnership with the patient, family and healthcare team in a timely manner utilizing evidence‑based interventions and treatments specific to the patient’s needs. Prioritize interventions based on patient’s condition, preferences, situation, or anticipated needs and perform treatments and procedures according to established procedural guidelines and protocols. Demonstrate compassionate behaviors of acceptance, caring and empathy for the patient and family.

Ensure that all components of the individualized plan of care, including modifications, are documented in the patient health record. Communicate relevant information through hand‑offs across levels of care and organizations.

Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Utilize teaching strategies appropriate to the individual patient’s condition and learning needs. Use health promotion to support patients and families in developing skills that promote, maintain, or restore healthy lifestyles and self‑management support. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the patient, families and staff. Seek opportunities for feedback and evaluation of the effectiveness of the strategies used, including teach‑back.

Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Evaluate the patient/family’s understanding of and response to the plan of care.
