Job Summary

Registered Nurse II | Med Surg | Nights – full‑time, 72 hrs every two weeks, shift: nights, hourly rate: $39.93–$63.89 (base salary range, actual salary may vary).

Location:

Yuma Medical Center, Yuma, AZ.

• Coordinate nursing care and provide direct patient care for adult acute care patients.
• Educate patients and families and facilitate transitions of care.
• Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.
• Lead through preceptor role, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
• Delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability.
• Collect and analyze assessment data, determine diagnoses or issues, prioritize information based on patient condition, identify risks, and document data in accordance with guidelines.
• Develop and modify individualized plans of care, involving patients, families, and healthcare team members, using evidence‑based nursing practices.
• Implement care plans in partnership with patient, family, and team members, prioritizing interventions and performing treatments per protocols.
• Communicate relevant information through hand‑offs across levels of care and organizations.
• Educate patients, families, and staff using appropriate teaching strategies, promote health, and maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Evaluate progress toward expected outcomes, revise diagnoses, outcomes, and plans as needed, and document reassessments.
• Maintain professional nurse‑patient relationships, serve as patient advocate, and uphold ethical and professional codes.
• Identify and report unethical, illegal, or incompetent practices per organizational policy.
• Integrate evidence and research findings into practice and participate in evidence‑based and research activities.

• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
• REGISTERED NURSE (RN) license (Arizona)
• Associate’s degree in Nursing or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year related experience in an adult acute care setting.
• Ability to perform duties in a night shift setting and within a full‑time schedule.
