EMI Services is hiring a Lead Landscape Specialist who maintains, designs, and installs outdoor green spaces, including planting, mowing, fertilizing, and trimming trees, shrubs, and turf. They operate power equipment, maintain irrigation systems, and often perform site assessments to ensure healthy, aesthetic landscapes.

Salary: $34.95/hr. plus $10.00 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!

• Landscape Maintenance:
  Perform routine care including mowing, edging, weeding, pruning shrubs and trees, and removing debris.
• Planting and Care:
  Install new turf, shrubs, trees, and flowers based on landscaping plans. Monitor, water, and fertilize plants to ensure health.
• Soil and Plant Health:
  Apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides safely to manage pests, diseases, and weed growth.
• Irrigation Management:
  Install, monitor, and repair irrigation systems to maintain proper moisture levels.
• Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
  Operate and maintain power tools (leaf blowers, trimmers) and heavy machinery (bobcats, chainsaws).
• Hardscape Maintenance:
  Assist with basic repairs to sidewalks, pathways, or retaining walls.
• Safety and Inspection:
  Inspect areas for hazards, diseases, or damage. Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing protective gear.

• Technical Knowledge:
  Understanding of horticulture, plant identification, and soil health.
• Physical Stamina:
  Ability to perform heavy manual labor, lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions.
• Equipment Proficiency:
  Experience with landscaping tools and machinery.
• Safety Focus:
  Knowledge of safe handling techniques for chemicals and machinery.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in Landscaping
• Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL  or willing and able to obtain one
• Pass a pre‑employment drug screening and background check
• Regular, dependable attendance
• U. S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations

• Must lift 75 lbs. unassisted
• Must work in extreme weather conditions – summer peaks at 120 °F
• Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
