Job Overview

Quality Manager – Plant Quality Manager

You’ll bring your professional expertise, talent, and drive to building and managing our portfolio of iconic, ground‑breaking brands. In this leadership role you help us deliver better care for billions of people worldwide and drive a culture of quality across the entire site, aligned with Kimberly‑Clark’s core values and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy the facility quality plan, aligning it with K‑C North America Quality Objectives and the Supply Chain Strategic Business Plan.
  • Ensure adequate resources are available and trained to implement the facility quality plan and day‑to‑day activities.
  • Engage and influence the facility management team and stakeholders such as product development, logistics, and suppliers to maintain a focused quality culture.
  • Provide mentorship and direction for quality professionals plant wide, including strategic guidance and coaching to system skill roles supporting plant quality systems and standards.
  • Manage self, team, and interactions in accordance with the plant’s High Performance Work System and expected K‑C values.
  • Establish and maintain the facility QMS, ensuring it consistently delivers products that meet finished product specifications and other customer requirements.
  • Act as the Quality Management Representative for 3rd‑party, regulatory, and K‑C global audits.
  • Lead the Quality Management Review process for the facility and ensure actions are assigned and completed.
  • Lead the CAPA/ QNC review board, ensuring employees associated with CAPA/ QNC action items have the capabilities and resources to complete assignments on time.
  • Ensure incoming raw materials meet specifications and have authority to reject nonconforming raw materials. Communicate material issues and work with suppliers to improve performance via the SCAR process.
  • Ensure finished products shipped from the facility comply with FPS and are documented in manufacturing records or device history records.
  • Maintain authority to hold nonconforming or potentially nonconforming product and manage nonconforming material escalation procedures.
  • Ensure testing equipment and laboratories are calibrated and testers or inspectors are qualified.
  • Develop and deploy internal audit plans and build lead‑auditor capability across the site.
  • Select and review critical quality KPIs to ensure processes deliver intended outputs.
Organizational Relationships

Reports to the Senior Quality Manager (staff) with a dotted line to the Yuma Plant Manager. May manage a staff of approximately 1‑3 salaried and 6‑10 hourly employees.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline and typically 7+ years of experience in a targeted area.
  • Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment and relevant Quality roles.
  • Demonstrated people‑leader experience, including career development and succession planning.
  • Working knowledge and experience with products requiring compliance to governmental regulatory agencies (a plus).
  • Experience as a Quality Management Representative in 3rd‑party and/or regulatory agency audits (a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recognized quality management qualification such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer / Manager of Quality Organizational Excellence / Auditor US Grade 08.

Salary Range

US: $127,600 – $157,600 (base). Includes eligibility for a target bonus, 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan.
