Quality Assurance Engineer
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with automotive industry and customer quality requirements.
Lead internal audits of manufacturing processes and quality systems to verify compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
Manage quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and quality manuals.
Drive corrective and preventive action initiatives to address internal and customer-related quality issues.
Analyze quality data and metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and process optimization.
Serve as a key liaison between operations, engineering, and customer-facing teams to align on quality objectives and issue resolution.
Administer and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements.
Plan, coordinate, and lead internal quality audits, ensuring effective follow-up on findings and corrective actions.
Manage document control processes, including the review, approval, and update of quality-related documentation.
Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) processes.
Utilize quality tools such as FMEA, PPAP, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to improve process performance and product quality.
Apply problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa to resolve quality concerns.
Monitor key quality metrics and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support customer quality requirements and ensure effective communication across manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
2-4 years of quality assurance or quality engineering experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and APQP methodologies.
Experience with quality tools including FMEA, PPAP, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Strong problem-solving skills utilizing methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa.
Experience conducting internal quality audits and managing corrective action processes.
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred:
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Experience working in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and quality system enhancements.
