Quality Engineer
Design, develop, and implement quality tests and statistical process control procedures to achieve manufacturing quality specifications.
Conduct annual plant quality audits across manufacturing facilities.
Lead investigations and resolution of customer quality concerns and complaints.
Serve as a project leader for cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with manufacturing plants and cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product quality.
Support new product and process development activities while ensuring APQP requirements are met.
Perform statistical analyses including capability studies, regression analysis, T-tests, F-tests, and control chart evaluations.
Facilitate and drive Kepner-Tregoe (K-T) problem-solving methodologies throughout manufacturing operations.
Lead cross-functional teams in developing and maintaining Control Plans, FMEAs, and Level 3 quality documentation.
Ensure compliance with ISO/TS quality standards and internal quality system requirements.
Utilize data analysis and reporting tools to provide database support and quality insights to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to improve processes and drive operational excellence.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field. 1-2 years of Quality Engineering experience demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of ISO/TS Quality Standards and Statistical Process Control (SPC). ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification or equivalent Quality Engineering experience. Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements. Strong statistical analysis skills and experience with quality improvement methodologies.
Preferred:
Bilingual in Spanish and English. Lean Manufacturing experience. Experience leading cross-functional teams and continuous improvement projects. Experience with Control Plans, FMEAs, and quality documentation systems.
