Access Control Guard-Janitor

Fidelity Technologies Corporation is looking for a qualified part‑time on‑call access control Guard‑Janitor 1 to join our professional team at MCAS Yuma providing support to the Marine Aviation Training Systems Squadron.

The Guard‑Janitor 1 will work at the Marine Aviation Training Systems Squadron (MATSS) and perform general “front desk” tasks with a focus on guarding access to MATSS. In addition to access‑control and general clerical tasks, this position may be tasked with assisting in the housekeeping of the building and or any similar duties as directed by the supervisor.

• The Guard‑Janitor is the first point of contact for visitors to the AV‑8B Simulators, MATSS Classrooms, and VMU‑1 offices.
• Responsible for all access control into the building and for verifying clearances from staff and visitors.
• Responsible for general clerical tasks such as scheduling, keeping logs, receiving mail, packages and other correspondence.
• Staffed around the clock to include nights, weekends, and holidays; available to work at any time of day or any day of the year as specified by the customer.
• Greets all persons coming into the building, checks personnel desiring entry against authorized access rosters, and restricts building access to only persons listed on an approved list.
• Answer telephone calls and notify base fire, PMO, medical, security, as directed or required to include any suspected breach of security.
• Log and notify staff of any ongoing issues between shifts.
• Assist in the general housekeeping of the facility, including trash removal, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, washing of walls, floors, desks, chairs, cabinets, furniture, ledges, handrails, fire apparatus, pictures, doors, etc.

• Flexible schedule: must be available to work at any time of day, any day of the year.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Windows Operating System and knowledge of Office software.
• 1 year of experience in access control, front desk, clerical/secretarial support, or any education and experience that demonstrates the ability to work in the required environment.
• Ability to obtain and retain a SECRET DoD clearance through a security investigation.
• U.S. citizen with a valid driver’s license.

• 2 years of experience providing access control in a military environment, preferably in a Secret or Top Secret facility.
• Active SECRET or higher clearance.

• Requires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb two flights of stairs.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Must present a professional appearance in demeanor and dress at all times.
