GENERAL MAINTENANCE WORKER - ELECTRICIAN
Kaiyuh Services, LLC is seeking a full-time General Maintenance Worker‑Electrician to join our team. This position performs preventive maintenance procedures on the water treatment equipment for the Yuma Desalting Plant.
What You’ll Be Doing- Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work
- Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors
- Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings
- Repairs may include replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets
- Painting structures and equipment
- Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks
- Replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging doors, installing door locks, replacing broken windowpanes, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Perform simple maintenance duties not requiring practical skill and knowledge of a trade (e.g., changing light bulbs and replacing faucet washers)
- Housekeeping responsibilities throughout the Yuma Desalting Plant
- Perform incidental tasks related to the position as well as various duties, as assigned, to support the overall objectives/goals of the team while maintaining a positive attitude
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Electrical knowledge and the ability to stand by while electricians are working on high and low voltage circuits preferred
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License
- Excellent customer service skills, including verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Basic analytical and creative problem‑solving skills
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Promptness and timeliness in completing assigned tasks
- Ability to pass a background and drug screening
- As a condition of employment, it will be required to pass a pre‑employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to YDP. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity.

WORKENVIRONMENT
Job is performed in an office and field setting. During work in the field setting, the candidate will be exposed to an environment typical of the southwest desert. The candidate may also at times be required to work around chemicals typical of a water treatment facility.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSEssential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.
