Electrician - Yuma, Arizona (Job Number: 295811)
The Electrician position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and safety standards. Responsibilities may also include the installation of electrical control systems and manual labor tasks related to electrical work. Additionally, the Electrician will be required to complete necessary reports and forms related to safety and project progress.
Positions are available in Yuma, Arizona.
Compensation:
Unlicensed $34.00/hr, Licensed $36.00/hr.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 10 hours per day (4/10 schedule). Friday 8‑hour workday.
Per diem:
For eligible travelers, $150 per day with restrictions apply.
- Installing conduits, including bending, cutting and threading up to 4-inch diameter rigid steel
- Installing and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
- Replacing conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed.
- Installing conductors, terminating (SES, panel boards, motor controls, PLC’s, instruments, and junction boxes).
- Ability to accurately read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings.
- Start up and commissioning experience is an asset but not required.
- Have a basic understanding of NFPA
70E and the NEC. - Ensuring all electrical systems comply with safety regulations and codes.
- Technical Proficiency:
Extensive knowledge of electrical components and systems. - Problem‑Solving:
Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues. - Attention to Detail:
Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. - Training:
Completion of an apprenticeship program, which includes both classroom instruction and on‑the‑job training. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and challenging terrains typical of construction sites. - Experience with industrial or commercial electrical work is a plus.
