PT - Dual Credit Outreach Specialist

Salary: $15.15 per hour

Summary of Function:
The Dual Credit Outreach Specialist is responsible for promoting and expanding dual credit programs by engaging with high schools, students, parents, and community organizations. This role focuses on increasing awareness and participation in dual credit opportunities, ensuring students have access to college-level courses while still in high school.

Typical Duties:

  • Serve prospective dual credit students with the application and registration process, ensuring they understand the requirements and deadlines. Utilize CRM Recruit to manage application data, enabling the identification and outreach to prospective students.
  • Identify and recruit high school students for dual credit programs, providing guidance on enrollment and academic requirements. Manage and distribute marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital content, to promote dual credit opportunities.
  • Conduct presentations, workshops, and informational sessions to educate stakeholders about the benefits and processes of the AWC dual credit program. Provides support to the Outreach and Recruitment team as needed with community outreach and campus tours. May include evening and weekend events.
  • Organize and participate in college fairs, school visits, and community events to promote Arizona Western College's dual credit opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with high school administrators, counselors, teachers, and community partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for dual credit inquiries from assigned high schools and provide timely information to all stakeholders.
  • Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A combination of higher education coursework and prior experience in engaging with high school and/or college students within Yuma/La Paz Counties
  • Applicants may indicate any additional language proficiencies in their application materials, including English/Spanish, as relevant to the position

  • Arizona Driver's License or Equivalent

  • Part-time
  • Up to 19 hours per week
  • Work flexible schedule to meet the program, department, and/or institutional needs, which may include Fridays, nights, and/or weekends

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret, apply, and follow college policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of or ability to maintain organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures
  • Knowledge of student development and retention practices
  • Knowledge of dual credit program requirements and enrollment processes
  • Skill in current technologies and word processing, database, presentation, and spreadsheet software, specifically Microsoft Office applications, Windows, college system platforms, software, and applications, especially those specific to the department operations
  • Skill and ability to be self-directed and to manage one's own time
  • Skill in recruitment event coordination and public engagement
  • Skill in maintaining accurate data and records in CRM or student information systems
  • Ability to complete all departmental and/or institutional mandatory training or development
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion, with close attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to provide assistance in a professional and supportive manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, in writing, and in a public setting, and to relate to others in a professional manner

  • Work is performed in an open office environment with staff, students, and community contact and interruptions
  • The working environment may include various locations across the service district, with varying noise levels, indoor and/or outdoor locations as needed to support program, department, or institutional needs
