The System Administrator will work with the IT Operations Manager and Chief Information Officer to manage the overall IT infrastructure for the hospital. This includes planning, implementation, testing, monitoring/analyzing, daily support, and troubleshooting issues. Frequent projects with multiple hospital departments and/or 3 rd party vendors.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required due to interactions with technical vendors, as well as end-users. Teamwork mindset required. Ability to work independently, but within management guidelines, policies, and procedures such as approvals and change management.

Onsite office hours required Monday – Friday. Rotating call schedule for after hours, weekends, and holidays.

The System Administrator is responsible for the systems listed.

Including but not limited to:

• Primary responsibilities
  • Physical and Virtual servers
  • Mobile device management
  • Thin client administration
  • Server and workstation patching
  • User management/Single Sign-on/MFA
  • Email administration including 3 rd party software
  • Video conferencing/telehealth
• Secondary responsibilities
  • Storage Area Networks (SAN
    -Dell Unity/Isilon)
  • Network switches and wireless access points (Cisco)
  • Firewalls and web filters
  • Backups
  • Telephony

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent IT experience

· Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a healthcare or similar complex environment

Bachelors or better in Information Technology.
