DescriptionThe System Administrator will work with the IT Operations Manager and Chief Information Officer to manage the overall IT infrastructure for the hospital. This includes planning, implementation, testing, monitoring/analyzing, daily support, and troubleshooting issues. Frequent projects with multiple hospital departments and/or 3 rd party vendors.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required due to interactions with technical vendors, as well as end-users. Teamwork mindset required. Ability to work independently, but within management guidelines, policies, and procedures such as approvals and change management.
Onsite office hours required Monday – Friday. Rotating call schedule for after hours, weekends, and holidays.
The System Administrator is responsible for the systems listed.
Including but not limited to:
- Primary responsibilities
- Physical and Virtual servers
- Mobile device management
- Thin client administration
- Server and workstation patching
- User management/Single Sign-on/MFA
- Email administration including 3 rd party software
- Video conferencing/telehealth
- Secondary responsibilities
- Storage Area Networks (SAN
-Dell Unity/Isilon) - Network switches and wireless access points (Cisco)
- Firewalls and web filters
- Backups
- Telephony
- Storage Area Networks (SAN
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent IT experience
· Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a healthcare or similar complex environment
Qualifications Education PreferredBachelors or better in Information Technology.
