Batch Plant Operator RMX

The batch plant operator is responsible for making quality concrete and providing it in a timely manner to the production crew. It is the batch plant operator’s responsibility to ensure that all the concrete we produce meets the required specifications.

• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
• Use computer or manual controls, efficiently batch product with proper mix and make necessary raw material adjustments; understand the proper use of each mix design.
• Complete customer orders, schedule deliveries, paperwork and plant maintenance.
• May run front end loader or other material handling equipment to charge plant with aggregate, sand or other materials; assist plant management as needed with other duties as assigned.
• Ensure that safety, compliance and environmental requirements are followed at all times.
• Effectively communicate with the drivers to efficiently complete customer orders; schedule deliveries to meet customer needs.
• Must be able to climb ladders, lift 75 lbs and work in a dusty, cold/hot environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1-3 years of related customer service or dispatch environment experience
• Excellent oral (telephone) communication skills; bilingual communication skills are a plus; ability to professionally interact with internal and external customers
• Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time; prioritize work; strong organizational skills
• Experience with dispatch systems, personal computer, telephone
• Wet batch experience a plus
• Light mechanical experience
