Tax Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our public accounting firm. In this role, you will be preparing and signing personal income tax returns, ensuring full compliance with federal, state and local tax laws, preparing monthly and quarterly financial preparations, and working directly with clients.

• Manage tax compliance processes for a set group of clients, including tax planning and analysis, and preparation of tax returns.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly preparations on the cash basis and income tax basis of accounting.
• Utilize various accounting software such as Quick Books, Ultra Tax, Fixed Asset, Accounting CS, and other financial tools for bookkeeping, asset management, and financial analysis.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
• At least 5 years of tax experience including personal income tax return preparation and tax planning is required.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books, Thomson Reuters Suite, Microsoft Suite is preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bank reconciliations as it pertains to financial statement preparation.
• An excellent ability to communicate with clients and co-workers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently within a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
