Opportunity Overview

An Ohio based Health Care System is seeking a skilled and experienced Radiation Oncologist to join our accredited cancer program on a locum tenens basis starting November 1 and continuing on an ongoing basis. This is a no call position offering flexible scheduling (3–4 days/week) with a minimum commitment of .6 FTE.

Enjoy working in a completely paperless and filmless environment with robust clinical and technological support. The ideal provider will bring expertise in a broad spectrum of radiation oncology treatments and a clean background for expedited credentialing.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

You will be working in a modern facility offering a full range of treatment modalities, including:

• Intracavity Brachytherapy
• Linear Accelerator Treatments
• Rapid Arc / VMAT
• Electrons
• 3D Conformal Radiation Therapy
• IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy)
• IGRT (Image Guided Radiation Therapy)
• SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy)
• SRS (Stereotactic Radiosurgery)
• Beam Shaping
• 3D CRT
• PET CT or MRI Image Fusion
• Electronic Portal Imaging
• Participation in clinical trials encouraged

Technology & Equipment

• EMRs: EPIC (Hospital), ARIA RO (Treatment)
• CT Simulator:
  Siemens Soma Tom – 2015

Linear Accelerators:

• Varian True Beam w/ CBCT & VMAT & The Edge SRS Package (includes Vision RT/OSMS) – 2015
• Varian Trilogy w/ CBCT & VMAT – 2015
• HDR Brachytherapy:
  Elekta-Nucletron with Oncentra

Support Staff

• 1 Clinical Manager, RTT
• 1.6 Radiation Oncologists (0.6 vacancy)
• 1.6 FTE RN, OCN; 0.6 MST
• 2 FT Physicists (1 vacancy)
• 2 FT Certified Medical Dosimetrists
• 5.4 Staff Radiation Therapists
• Additional support:
  Nurse Navigators, In-House Pharmacy, Palliative Care, Financial Counseling, Nutrition Services, and Spiritual Care

Accreditations & Certifications

• ACR, ACoS, HFAP Accredited
• NSABP Accredited Breast Center
• QOPI Certified Medical Oncology Program

Requirements

• Active Ohio medical license or eligibility through IMLC
• Clean background for expedited credentialing (temps available within 1 week)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology
