Staff Development## Overview of Position:
The Manager of Education Services provides oversight for the operations of Staff Education and the Medical Staff Library. Oversees the assessment, planning and implementation of continuing education programs for the healthcare professionals at Genesis Health Care System. Develops and implements programs for the Leadership Team. Interacts with department managers and division directors to meet the education needs of the various areas.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES
** 1.
Assess organizations education needs in a systematic manner. 2.
Demonstrates ability to align education initiatives to the organizational goals and objectives.
3.
Provides consultation to others in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the education process.
4.
Systematically evaluates and/or updates the curriculum of education programs based on feedback from surveys, changes in research and/or systems, and regulatory standards.
5.
Oversees regulatory compliance, analysis and reporting requirements to ensure proper compliance with regulatory standards including ONA continuing education, OSMA, CME accreditation, AHA certification and HFAP accreditation. 6.
Promotes best practice approaches to the development and implementation of continuing education program needs across the organization. 7.
Evaluates education programs for their ability to positively affect organizational change. 8.
Facilitates a collaborative relationship with outside organizations. 9.
Participates in interdisciplinary committees 10.
Completes projects as assigned
** QUALIFICATIONS
* * 1.
Masters degree in nursing. 2.
Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, conflict resolution and investigative skills. 3.
Demonstrated excellence with listening, verbal and written communication skills. 4.
Ability to provide outstanding customer service and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
5.
Knowledge of current standards of practice related to education and healthcare. 6.
Ability to present material in written and verbal format for various audiences. 7.
Ability to read, comprehend and calculate information.
