Must-Have:
Experience in heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, post-op open-heart patients, and other cardiac/med-surg step-down patients. Comfortable providing care to ventilated patients if needed. Experience with Epic EMR.
Description:
Registered Nurse will work night shifts with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Typically works every third weekend and covers one holiday, subject to change based on staffing and patient census. No on-call shifts are required, but RN may be asked to take a rare call day during fluctuating census or staffing. RN will be required to float to other units during low volumes or staffing crises, though this is not a common expectation.
Candidates must have experience caring for open-heart patients. While ventilator patients are not typically admitted to this unit, RNs may be required to care for ventilated patients in rare circumstances based on patient needs or staffing requirements. All requested time off must be disclosed during the application process to ensure consideration. The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours during the contract period.
