Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized care on the Respiratory unit, with occasional float assignments to various Med-Surg units. The ideal candidate will have recent telemetry and step-down experience, along with proficiency in Epic EMR.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive patient care to respiratory and medical-surgical patients while adhering to clinical protocols.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, responding appropriately to alarms and abnormal findings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately within the Epic EMR system.
• Float to different Med-Surg units as needed, maintaining flexibility and clinical competence.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Current Ohio RN license and active BLS certification are required.
• Minimum of 3 years recent telemetry and/or step-down unit experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Epic EMR; testing will be conducted on day one.
• Ability to work night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., including every other weekend.
• Strong clinical skills in managing complex respiratory and med-surg patients.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in high-pressure environments.
