Entry Level Diesel Technician – Zanesville, Ohio
Ryder is hiring an Entry Level Diesel Technician in Zanesville, Ohio—providing a stable company for your career with weekly pay and excellent benefits.
Compensation & Benefits- Hourly Pay: $24.00 per hour
- Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE certification up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 every quarter (four times per year)
- Sign‑On Bonus: $1,250 at 30 days and $1,250 at 90 days
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, weekends off - Hours:
Second Shift 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm
- Medical, dental, vision after 30 days
- 80 hours PTO your first year, starting Day 1

Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic tools, required
- One (1) year or more experience in transportation maintenance preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) class A, preferred
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively, work shift/weekend as required, perform all entry‑level tasks, and demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of and the ability to apply knowledge of computers
- Some experience in transportation maintenance preferred
- Must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Performs basic vehicle maintenance
- Performs component identification and minor repairs
- Performs preventive maintenance with training and support
- Performs facility maintenance duties
- Perform all entry‑level tasks
- Diagnoses minor mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
- Performs other related duties as assigned
