Truck Driver

Overview

Drivers are responsible for delivering freight in a safe and prompt manner through the use of a refrigerated tractor‑trailer. Drivers are expected to engage with our customers and clients in a courteous and professional manner. At all times, drivers will obey all Department of Transportation regulations and laws. Drivers must be able to communicate effectively and take responsibility for all equipment provided by the company.

Drivers will experience extended periods of time away from home, but will be home every weekend if possible.

• Ability to hook and unhook a trailer in a safe and proper manner without assistance
• Ability to safely navigate a semi‑tractor/trailer from various locations
• Responsible for all equipment used, including materials and electronics within the tractor, the tractor itself, the trailer and the shipped goods within the trailer
• Maintains a clean and safe tractor environment
• Maintain all documents, including log books, bills of lading and other essential documents. Ensures all documents are verified and properly completed prior to departure from site
• Reports all accidents, incidents and/or circumstances that may jeopardize the safety of the driver, equipment and goods being shipped in a complete and timely manner
• Is well‑groomed and professional when interacting with customers and clients

• Class A, CDL certified
• Two years’ experience, with a clean MVR
• Submit to DOT drug screening
• Ability to perform all duties in a variety of weather conditions
