Student Well-Being Paraprofessional - 1:1
The Student Well-Being Paraprofessional - 1:1 will provide direct support to a student to ensure his/her access to the school environment and support social, emotional, or behavioral needs. Responsibilities include supervising the student during the school day as defined by the student's team, providing instruction and/or academic assistance to the individual student, monitoring behavior, safety, and well-being of the student, effectively implementing a student's behavior or safety management plan, implementing behavior de-escalation techniques, and/or following building crisis response protocols as defined.
The role also involves working closely with the school social worker to document student progress, participating in necessary school meetings, assemblies, programs, and school events, and developing positive, engaging relationships with students and staff. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. CPR and First Aid certification, provided by the district. CPI Certification, provided by the district. Preferred experience working as a paraprofessional or classroom aide.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday school year, 7.5 hours per day.
Compensation:
Level 1: $14.31 - $16.76 per hour.
