Lean Manufacturing Engineer | Zeeland, MI

Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Zeeland that are seeking skilled Lean Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (e.g., VSM, Kaizen, 5S).
• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify waste and bottlenecks, and propose solutions.
• Develop and implement standard work procedures to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving and process optimization projects.
• Train and mentor manufacturing personnel on Lean principles and tools.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Lean initiatives.
• Support the design and layout of production areas for optimal flow and ergonomics.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., Arena, Simio)
• Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams
• Experience implementing Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, AI in manufacturing)
