Welding Engineer | Zeeland, MI
Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Zeeland that are seeking Welding Engineers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize welding processes for new and existing products.
- Conduct root cause analysis for welding defects and implement corrective actions.
- Specify and procure welding equipment, consumables, and tooling.
- Create and maintain welding procedure specifications (WPS) and welder qualification records.
- Provide technical support and training to welding technicians and manufacturing personnel.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to improve weldability and reduce costs.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- AWS CWI certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Experience with robotic welding systems and programming
- Familiarity with NDT methods (UT, MT, RT, PT) and interpretation
- Project management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) for fixture design and analysis
