IATF Quality Engineer | Zeeland, MI
Salary Range: $82,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Zeeland region seeking IATF Quality Engineers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads internal and external IATF 16949 audits and drives closure of non-conformances.
- Develops and implements APQP deliverables including Control Plans, PFMEAs, and PPAP submissions.
- Analyzes manufacturing processes for compliance to IATF 16949 standards and customer-specific requirements.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams on root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Manages and maintains the organization's quality management system documentation.
- Provides training and guidance on IATF 16949 principles and quality tools to manufacturing personnel.
- Monitors key quality performance indicators and implements continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in IATF 16949 standards and their practical application.
- Proficient in core quality tools such as PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and MSA
- Certified Lead Auditor (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001)
- Proficient in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Experience with problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
