Description

The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in driving financial accuracy, operational insight, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. This position partners closely with Operations and leadership teams to deliver meaningful financial analysis, support forecasting and budgeting activities, and ensure the integrity of financial reporting and business performance data.

This role goes beyond transactional accounting by contributing to cost analysis, process improvement, operational forecasting, and strategic project support that directly impacts business performance. The Financial Analyst serves as a trusted business partner within the finance team, helping identify trends, improve efficiencies, and provide actionable insights that support organizational growth and operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain the general ledger through accurate journal entries, account analysis, and timely accounting transactions, ensuring financial records remain complete and up to date.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable activities, including vendor invoices, payments, customer invoicing, and collections, ensuring on‑time approvals and accurate processing.
  • Support production teams with cost evaluations, project opportunities, customer costing, and project validations while helping remove operational barriers and maintain delivery timelines.
  • Perform account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies promptly, and audit fixed asset records to ensure accurate depreciation tracking and forecasting.
  • Assist with budgets, forecasts, month‑end close, and financial reporting by tracking actual vs. budget performance, preparing analysis, and supporting forecasting accuracy within 5% variance from beginning‑of‑month outlook.
  • Maintain financial data integrity within the ERP/accounting system and support internal and external audits through accurate documentation, compliance with internal controls, and timely audit support.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations and other departments to maintain accurate project tracking, financial reporting, costing analysis, and business decision support.
  • Drive continuous process improvements through enhanced Excel tools, reporting automation, system improvements, and identification of operational or financial gaps.
  • Develop increasing independence, analytical capability, and ownership of financial responsibilities, building readiness for advancement into senior finance and leadership roles.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or related financial functions preferred; internship or co‑op experience may be considered.
  • Experience supporting cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, month‑end close, and financial reporting activities.
  • Working knowledge of general accounting principles (GAAP) and core accounting processes including reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and financial transaction management.
  • Experience using ERP or accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Quick Books, Plex, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools, including the ability to organize, analyze, and track financial data effectively.
