Material Handler/Bander will be responsible for banding material and preparing for staging and shipping. They must have great attention to detail and the ability to work within set timelines. The role requires safe and efficient handling of materials to ensure safe transport.

Monday - Friday 8 a.m.

- 4:30 p.m. (occasional overtime and Saturday work)

$17/hr.

• Ensure all orders are organized, leveled, and tightly built for transport.
• Bands material using provided equipment to secure items for shipment.
• Label banded carts ensuring accuracy of units, destination, and handler.
• Sustain a clean work area by sweeping, re‑binding loose bundles, keeping dust collectors clean, and preparing for the next shift.
• Communicate any discrepancies, product or safety issues with Supervisor.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• May be required to pass PIT training and follow all safety requirements established within Novo.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Effectively perform all essential functions, including physical requirements.
• Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills.
• Use of proper PPE and company‑approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to move awkward product lengths and weights.
• Read, understand, and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.
• Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed.

• Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment.

No travel requirements.

• Able to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust.
• 100%:
  Stand, handle, hold, squeeze or grasp.
• 80%:
  Reach with hands and arms, depth perception.
• 50%:
  Walk, repetitive motion, operate moving equipment.
• 10%:
  Work bent at waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or twist.
• May lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
