We are looking for an Assembly and Test Associate 1 to work the 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The role includes assembling and testing products, ensuring quality inspections, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and following safety protocols.
The estimated hourly base pay is $22.55 with a 10% shift premium.
- Assemble product components by following documented procedures using specified tools and equipment.
- Test product components by following documented procedures using specified tools and equipment.
- Conduct inspections and tests to verify accuracy, functionality and record results per operating standards.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work area by following 5S principles and proper storage of tools and materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures and regulatory requirements to promote a safe working environment.
- Understanding of and ability to follow basic technical instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Critical thinking skills to identify gaps to standards and resolve or escalatetheir according to procedures.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and basic equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong team communication skills to support workflow and escalate me immediate issues.
- Adherence to Woodward's Core Values and time management to complete assigned tasks within schedules.
- Lean mindset: follows 5S and waste reduction and participates in continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with standardized work and production systems and ability to participate in daily management.
- Basic computer skills – email, spreadsheets, data entry tools.
- Attention to detail – precision and accuracy in tasks.
- Collaboration – works cooperatively with teammates and accepts feedback.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent with at least 1+ year of mechanical aptitude.
- Compliance with ITAR/EAR regulations – U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain required authorizations.
