Overview
Facility:
Medilodge of Zeeland
Starting wages at $40.40-$47.45 per hour
Wage based on experience, shift, a $3.40/hr Michigan Direct Care Incentive, and a $4/hr weekend warrior program.

- Graduate of an accredited LPN school of Nursing
- Valid LPN license in the state of employment
- Valid CPR certification
- One year of nursing experience preferred
- Document resident’s condition and nursing needs
- Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders
- Assign nursing care to team members based on resident needs and staff abilities
- Supervise, direct, and evaluate junior staff members and CNAs
- Administer medications and perform treatments for assigned residents and document treatments as required
- Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel
- Ensure supplies are utilized economically and equipment is clean and maintained safely
- Report and record relevant observations and responses regarding residents
- Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments
- Interview applicants and recommend hires
- Participate in counseling, disciplinary action, and termination of staff as permitted by state practice act
- Supervise nursing unit, including scheduling and directing nursing staff as permitted by state practice act
- Ensure inventory and supplies are maintained on the unit and communicate needs for housekeeping, maintenance, or dietary assistance
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Skilled in directing and motivating the workforce
- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
- Effective communication with residents, families, and all levels of the organization
- Decisive and quick reaction in emergency situations
- Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
