The Manufacturing Engineering Technician / Quality Technician provides hands‑on technical support for manufacturing and quality operations within ODL's Glass Tempering and Insulating Glass (IG) Assembly processes. Working closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Production, and Maintenance teams, the Technician helps identify process issues, collect and analyze production data, support corrective actions, and implement improvements.
Manufacturing Process SupportSupport daily manufacturing operations by monitoring process performance and production efficiency. Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and process‑related issues. Collect, document, and analyze production data. Support implementation of process improvements. Update work instructions and process documentation.
Quality SupportPerform quality inspections, audits, and verification activities. Assist with investigations of defects, scrap, rework, and customer complaints. Support root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, and 8D methodologies. Maintain quality documentation and records.
Candidate Requirements- Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical/vocational education or associate degree in manufacturing, engineering technology, quality, or a related field preferred.
- Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, process, or engineering technician role.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, quality inspections, troubleshooting, and/or process improvement preferred.
- Technical Skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Ability to collect, document, and analyze production and quality data.
- Familiarity with quality and root cause analysis tools, including 5 Why, Fishbone, and 8D.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
