This role focuses on the fabrication and installation of a wide range of commercial glazing systems, including storefronts, curtain walls, and aluminum-framed entrances. You will work on new construction projects, installing glass, glazing materials, and related hardware for commercial and industrial buildings. The position suits someone who enjoys hands-on work, can interpret blueprints, and takes pride in delivering high-quality finishes on site.
Responsibilities- Fabricate and install storefront systems, curtain walls, and aluminum-framed entrances for commercial and industrial projects.
- Install glass and other glazing materials according to specifications and project requirements.
- Install glazed canopies, skylights, glass guardrails, mirrors, glass marker boards, and similar architectural glass features.
- Install hardware and other materials associated with storefronts, curtain walls, entrances, and glazing systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices such as tape measures to complete precise installations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to ensure accurate layout and installation.
- Work on new construction sites to install commercial and industrial windows and related systems.
- Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to coordinate installation activities and maintain project schedules.
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment while working in a variety of weather conditions.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in clean, safe, and working order.
- Experience in glazing and installation of commercial glass systems.
- Hands-on experience in commercial construction or related fields.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in glazing, carpentry, and construction.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical components and hardware.
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure and perform precise measurements.
- Experience with installation of windows, doors, and commercial building components.
- Comfort working on active construction sites and at varying heights as required by the job.
- Capability to work in outdoor environments and in a variety of weather conditions, from hot and humid to cold and wet.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience installing glass doors, aluminum storefronts, and windows.
- Carpentry or finish carpentry experience, including framing and cabinetry work.
- Experience in commercial construction, including installation and framing tasks.
- Experience interpreting and working from detailed blueprints and project plans.
- Demonstrated mechanical inclination and problem-solving skills in the field.
- Comfort using a wide range of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $62400.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
