Senior Software Engineer – Salesforce (Technology)

Senior Software Engineer – Salesforce – Technology – at Miller Knoll.

• Develop Apex classes, Lightning components, and Visualforce to extend Salesforce to support business requirements.
• Configure Salesforce solutions using point-and-click tools available on the platform (Workflows, approval processes, case management, entitlements, assignment rules, etc.).
• Integrate with internal and external services using Salesforce integration capabilities.
• Collaborate with the Salesforce team to validate business requirements and considerations (security, scalability, limits).
• Integrate and maintain business applications in Salesforce.
• Adhere to Salesforce best practices and governor limits.
• Document solutions for future reference and incident deflection.
• Apply problem‑solving skills and execute solutions to problems independently.
• Assist Product Owners in defining new features and translating technical requirements.
• Clearly communicate status and open issues to the development team and leads.
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

• Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud product knowledge and at least 8 years of Salesforce development experience.
• Proficient with user management, case management, API integration, reports and dashboards, and the Salesforce development lifecycle.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with business stakeholders and other Salesforce team members.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
• Familiarity with Experience Cloud and Agentforce development.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 10+ years of enterprise-level software development experience.
• 8+ years of Salesforce cloud experience.
• Desirable:
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II.
• Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder.
• Experience with AI/ML integrations or Generative AI.
• Competency in other languages/development such as JavaScript, SQL, REST/SOAP-based web services.
• Active participation in the Salesforce community.

• Experience implementing and developing in Apex, LWC, and Visualforce.
• Experience integrating internal or external services using Salesforce capabilities.
• Ability to write, interpret, and critique technical specifications.
• Ability to gather requirements and present solutions to stakeholders.
• Demonstrates continued personal and professional development.
• Active in the Salesforce community.
