Job Description:

* Follows strict infection prevention precautions. Adheres to policies and procedures regarding all aspects of medication safety.

* Sets measurable and achievable short and long-range goals for patients, developing and implementing individualized plans of care.

* Prioritizes and completes follow-up assessments, evaluating and modifying plans of care as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Organizational and multi-tasking skills [Required]

* Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures [Required]

* Ability to work as a Team player within a unit [Required]

* Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills [Required]

* EKG (based on patient population; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements) [Required]

* Basic computer skills [Required]

* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing [Required]

* Problem-solving and critical thinking skills [Required]

* Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently [Required]

* Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, Cerner preferred [Preferred]

* Ability to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes [Required]

Education:

* Associate's of Nursing [Required]

* Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

* 2+ relevant clinical nurse experience preferred [Preferred]
