Empower students and support their academic and emotional growth in a district-wide, in-person role as a School Psychologist for the  school year. This rewarding contract opportunity offers the chance to make a significant impact across multiple school sites, collaborating with educators, families, and district teams. The assignment runs from mid-August to the end of May, providing a stable, full-time schedule averaging 33.25 hours per week.

Key

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree (or equivalent) in Educational Psychology required
  • Completion of at least one year of supervised internship under a certified school psychologist
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with proper endorsement in school psychology
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, special education law, and intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, adaptable across elementary and secondary settings
  • Commitment to cultural competency and supporting diverse student populations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and psycho educational evaluations
  • Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to staff and families
  • Develop and support implementation of evidence-based interventions
  • Consult with teachers and families to promote student well-being and behavioral health
  • Provide crisis intervention and participate in problem-solving teams
  • Lead and contribute to IEP meetings, ensuring compliance and student-centered practices
  • Deliver direct and indirect support to students, adapting services to varied needs across the district
