Special Education Teacher in Zion, IL

Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting students growth as a Resource Room Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This full-time, in-person contract role spans from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering approximately 33.25 hours per week.

• Current and valid Professional Educator License (PEL) required (please provide a copy upon application)
• Background in Special Education and classroom experience as a Special Education Teacher
• Ability to collaborate with general education staff and related service providers
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities
• Familiarity with developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
• Resource room experience preferred

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction for students in the resource setting
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs
• Track student progress and regularly update IEPs and documentation in alignment with compliance standards
• Partner closely with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement effective instructional strategies
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment for all learners
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities as required
