Bring your passion for music and teaching to a dynamic Pre K–2 educational setting! This contract opportunity offers the chance to inspire young learners through music education in an onsite, full-time role for the entire academic year, from August 17 through May 27, 2027. Engage with kindergarten through second grade students, nurturing their musical abilities and laying a solid foundation for their educational journey.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
• Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate music endorsement(s).
• Experience designing curriculum, planning lessons, and delivering engaging instruction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to support collaboration with staff, students, and parents.

• Teach general music classes to K-2 students, adapting lessons to the specific developmental level of each grade.
• Create and implement a curriculum that fosters an appreciation for music, encourages participation, and develops basic musical skills.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into broader school activities and initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in parent‑teacher conferences as needed.
• Contribute to school events, concerts, or assemblies that highlight student learning and achievement in music.
• Uphold school policies and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment for all learners.

You will be working exclusively onsite—virtual/remote instruction is not accepted for this position—where your energy and expertise will directly impact students each day.

Compensation for this position ranges from $27.87 to $47.87. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
