In this leadership role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Dietitian and Administrator to drive both clinical excellence and operational success
, ensuring every resident receives high-quality, personalized nutritional care in a safe and welcoming environment.
- Oversee daily operations of the Dietary Department
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Partner with Nursing to manage diet changes and care plans
- Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care
- Maintain "survey-ready" standards at all times
- Lead infection control, sanitation, and inspection readiness
- Engage with residents and families to understand preferences
- Help create a personalized, enjoyable dining experience
- Assist with hiring, training, and performance management
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture
- Manage food and supply inventory
- Support budgeting and cost-control initiatives
- Certification:
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred - Sanitation:
Valid Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification - Experience:
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting (SNF, hospital, or similar) - Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required - Knowledge:
Strong understanding of IDPH/CMS regulations for long-term care
- Ability to move throughout the facility during the workday
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 25 lbs
- Ability to assist during emergency situations, including resident evacuation
- Moderate noise level typical of a kitchen/healthcare setting
