Skilled Nursing Facility Activity Aide

We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Activity Aide to join our team at Allure of Zion, a premier skilled nursing facility in Zion, Illinois. As an Activity Aide, you will assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs for our residents. We're committed to providing a warm and welcoming environment that fosters independence, socialization, and overall well-being.

Assist in planning, developing, and implementing activity programs and quality assurance programs for the Activities Department

Observe and chart resident behavior, progress, and responses to services

Develop and maintain positive relationships with other departments and staff members

Prepare activity rooms and areas for scheduled programs

Oversee residents during activities to promote their physical, social, and mental well-being

Assist with daily activities, errands, and socialization initiatives

Maintain confidentiality and dignity for all resident care information

Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department is preferred

Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday and cope with mental and emotional stress

Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and ability to work effectively with residents and staff

Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people

Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds
