HOUSEKEEPER - Seasonal

Illinois Beach Hotel is nestled along the scenic shores of Lake Michigan within Illinois Beach State Park, which welcomes over 2.5 million visitors each year. With a 92‑room hotel, full‑service dining, conference and event space, and a campground store, our team is dedicated to providing extraordinary service in a one‑of‑a‑kind lakeside environment.

• Follows detailed duties worksheet assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Clean check‑outs and stay‑overs, including changing sheets and towels, emptying trash, dusting, scrubbing, vacuuming and waxing according to procedures
• Report damaged or missing items to the Housekeeping Supervisor, turn in all lost and found items to Management
• Notify Management and Maintenance of any repairs
• Stock personal cart daily with cleaning supplies, guest supplies and linens, alert supervisor if supplies run low
• Unload cart of dirty linens and trash at end of shift
• Assist in the unloading of linens (delivered by truck) bi‑weekly
• Weekly, monthly and quarterly cleaning projects as assigned
• Other duties as may be assigned

• Detail oriented
• Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to spend the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. with frequent bending, twisting and squatting required
• Bilingual speaking is a plus

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

One (1) year of housekeeping experience preferred

Resort/National Park experience preferred
