Job Summary
Responsible for executing manufacturing and shipping activities in accordance with established production instructions to ensure timely and accurate product output and delivery. Maintains high standards of quality, safety, and customer service throughout all operations.
Responsibilities- Reads and follows written manufacturing procedures.
- Weighs raw materials and adds instructed amounts into kettle.
- Accurately records data on production batch sheets.
- Operates pumps, mills, flow meters and process control instruments related to tanks, kettles, and other blending vessels.
- Follows through with verbal instruction.
- Notifies manager of any mechanical or material issues.
- Wears personal protective equipment and handles chemicals in a safe manner.
- Performs simple math calculations including conversion of units of measure.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Advanced education or skilled training preferred.
- Prior experience in chemical mixing and production a plus.
- Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in English.
- Requires strong basic math skills and understanding of general manufacturing concepts.
- Good observation skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Must have flexible work schedule with varying start and stop times.
- Comfortable working in a factory environment involving standing, walking and lifting for long periods.
- Environment can reach extreme heat in summer.
- Ability to lift bags and other containers up to 50 pounds safely as directed.
Pay range $34.80/hr (Union Job). The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
